Mission

     Jeff Leedy Studios, owner of Art That Makes You Laugh^® the Leedy Humor Gallery, is interested in Licensing/Franchising our gallery concept to qualified individuals in locations that are desirable.

Scenario

     We license the "rights" to replicate our Sausalito gallery to you in your city. You then replicate our gallery with appropriate signage, decor, furnishings and, of course, artwork by artist Jeff Leedy.

     Jeff Leedy Studios will supply consultation and training for store personnel.

     "Licensee" would own the gallery for that designated city only.

     We also have a game plan for hiring and keeping "the right kind of employees." Our management style is a big factor.

     All 2D art is bought from Jeff Leedy Studios. 3D art can be bought locally or through our contacts. Your choice with our approval.

     Our licensing agreement includes a nominal licensing fee, and purchase minimums of Leedy art.

Facts

     The success of our business is tied directly to foot traffic, preferably tourists.

     50% of our sales are for gifts — people buy humorous art as a gift. You can't do that with watercolors. So it's part art gallery, part gift store. It sells on both levels.

     Our gallery is an "experience" — generally a very happy one. Anything that we can think of to consistently offer that experience makes the buying of a Leedy item great fun and very memorable — which creates the best form of advertising — word of mouth.

A Unique Concept

     Art That Makes You Laugh^® is a unique gallery concept that has delighted the 2,000,000 tourists that visit Sausalito and Mendocino, California each year. Our waterfront location combined with a beautifully designed interior plus art that "cracks people up" make for a winning combination.

     Now in our 9th year, we are open 7 days a week from 10:am to 6:pm and frequently later in the high season summer months till 8:30pm.

     The predominance of the artwork for sale is created by nationally known humorist, Jeff Leedy, a long-time Sausalito artist. The original works are original oil pastels on paper or canvas ranging from $595 to $4,500, and going up as high as $22,000.

     Fine art reproductions and limited editions range from $79 to $899 unframed. Open edition prints (great for gifts) range from $25 to $49. Framing is definitely another source of revenue.

     The gallery also features the 3-dimensional works of several artists, also specializing in humor.

     We do extremely well with high foot traffic selling to all economic levels. With close to 80 images in print, we do have something for everyone. Even in a recession!

     Jeff Leedy Studios does sell all of its reproductions to qualified wholesale accounts within the USA. Our prices are almost all 50% of our suggested retail. We require that you not sell these items for less than our suggested retail. More is OK.

Requirements

     We require that you are a bona fide retail gift store, gallery, framing gallery or such in order to order from us. We will require references and standard details about your business.

Opening Orders

     Our opening order is $250 with reorders at a minimum of $150. For opening orders please email wholesale@leedyart.com: please include a phone number and best time to reach you (artist wants to suggest best sellers to fit your particular store/clientele).

     DO NOT TRY TO ORDER WHOLESALE ON OUR SITE.

Shipping

• We ship all orders via UPS and the customer pays for shipping.
• Shipping: UPS actual price + handling (depends on quantity).
• Ship Time: 3-5 days from order date + UPS time.
• All shipments to you are insured.

Payment

     We accept VISA/MC or check or wire transfer. We no longer extend credit.

Product Information

• We sell both open edition prints ($29, $32, $42 retail) and limited edition prints ($79, $125, $149, $199, etc.).
• Most of our accounts order unframed prints. We can sell you some prints framed as samples (print @ wholesale price, frame @ retail price). We recommend that you frame some of the prints locally as samples — it helps all prints, framed and unframed, sell better.

Catalogue

     Our catalogue is our web site. Please print off pages you like as your reference guide.

Price List

     At the appropriate time, we will fax or email to you a price list/order form to fill out. Price list is effective January 2008 and subject to change.

Exchanges

     Unframed items may be exchanged if returned in saleable condition.

     Jeff Leedy Studios is available to license over 100 humorous images to different manufacturers of t-shirts, address/appointment books, journals, calendars or any stationery items or products that would benefit from having the humor of Leedy's art to create appeal.

     All of the Leedy images on the current website plus several hundred additional images can be made available.

     Subject matter is hugely varied and includes: dogs, cats, wine, golf, lawyers, stock market, real estate, spiritual, corporate, middle age, skiing, tennis, firemen, bathroom toilet, life.

     In certain situations, new subjects can be specially commissioned to suit a particular industry or marketing area.
